Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant & Customer Support Specialist to join our team on a full-time, fully remote basis. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and maintain compliance with US accounting standards while working during US business hours.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries
- Perform accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions
- Prepare and reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Generate financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Support payroll processing and expense tracking
- Assist with tax preparation and coordination with external accountants/auditors
- Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 to 5+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a US-based company or clients)
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- CPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not required)
- Experience working with US clients or in a remote setup
- Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Gusto, ADP)
- Experience with financial analysis or budgeting
