Senior Backend Developer (Ruby on Rails)

We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (Backend Focus) to join a talented international team and help build a scalable platform that connects families with educational providers. This is a direct hire opportunity on the client’s payroll, offering stability and long-term growth.

• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong expertise with Ruby on Rails
• Experience leading projects or technical teams (preferably in e-commerce or digital products)
• General frontend knowledge (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) – nice to have
• Advanced English (C1 or higher, mandatory) – you will work closely with international stakeholders
• Must currently reside in Argentina

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions with Ruby on Rails
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Frontend, DevOps) in an Agile environment
• Participate in architectural decisions and the ongoing migration to AWS
• Contribute to improving performance, reliability, and scalability of the platform

• Languages: Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Frameworks: Ruby on Rails, React (in some areas of the project)
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Methodology: Agile
• Infrastructure: Active migration to AWS
